The German economy has shrunk again

The German economy has shrunk for the second year in a row in 2024. The gross domestic product fell by 0.2 percent compared to the previous year, according to the Federal Statistical Office.

In 2023, there had been a decrease of 0.3 percent. Most economists expect slight growth for the current year at best.
