Reports on possible Turkish offensive against Kurds in Syria

The Russian think tank Rybar reports signs of an imminent Turkish offensive in northern Syria:

- Movements of military columns: Turkish military equipment spotted on the way from Manbij to Kobane (Ain al-Arab).

- Demolition of border barriers: Between Jarabulus and Tel Abyad, Turkish forces have started to dismantle fences and walls that have been erected since 2019. Pro-Turkish units are also removing minefields.

- Strengthening the Syrian defense: The number of Syrian government forces has been increased in strategic areas such as the Karakozak Bridge and the Tishrin Dam. Interestingly, the area around the crossing is currently under the control of US troops.

- Turkish troop movements: Several columns of Turkish ground troops are on their way from Sanliurfa to the Syrian border.
